It’s almost inevitable that cute cat photos wind their way into a post on any blog. When I was in Rome, I shared an apartment with a local resident and her cat, Pepe (“pepper” in Italian). Highly affectionate, he would follow me around all day, rushing ahead into rooms and waiting by doors as they opened. I took a number of photos and, before leaving, loaded them onto a flash drive as a present for my host. I think she appreciated them.

Anyway, I know how much the Internet loves photos of cats, so here is my contribution to the noise.
