Sentosa is a resort island located at the southern end of Singapore. It is an inescapable place if you’re visiting Singapore for the first time, though, for many, its touristy nature may cause weariness. It’s here that attractions like Universal Studios Singapore, Underwater World and the MegaZip Adventure Park sit. Reminiscent of Vegas, a giant casino sits not-so-hidden away amongst the shows and shops of the main resort area. Further away, indoor extreme sports offer thrills for luge aficionados and fans of high heights. All of this is available for a fee, of course. Old Meets New in Lijiang During the COART International Artists Festival

China isn’t the red communist country of same-faced okay men and yessir women that the past presented. The nation formerly under Mao’s cultural servitude is now brimming with hip artists, free thinkers and incredibly fashionable people. This was especially true during the COART international artists festival in Shu He Ancient City during the start of this month. Folks of past traditions mixed with young artists from around the world in the historic town, creating a dichotomy of old and new that was visually appealing.
