Updates 2021

It’s been one year since I last posted on this site, and what a year it’s been. Like many of you, I’ve been spending all my time at home. I’ve started and restarted several creative projects, attempted to learn a few new languages and continued working on my novel. And, yes, I even baked some bread.

I’ve since rewritten much of my novel, and I’m currently looking for a literary agent. If you know of an agent seeking literary historical fiction, please let me know! I’ve created a new page with details of my novel which you are free to peruse.

Music has always been a big part of my life. With so much time at home, I got back into songwriting with a new (somewhat experimental) music project called Kid Lydoskope. The goal is to combine modern sounds with common Americana themes. I have tracks available on YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music and more. Subscribe if you like it!

Hope you’ve all been well. As always, you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for more timely updates and photos.

Becoming a Travel Writer

I recently deleted my old Blogspot site, though it’s not a big deal since I imported all the posts to this one. In looking at my very first post, I remembered how I started blogging during my pre-Performer Magazine days to show that I could be a music writer. Obviously, that turned out well.

If you’ve been following my noise for the past month or so, you’ll know that I’ve been making the move into the realm of travel writing. I feel like I’m beginning the above process again. Not surprisingly, it made me really happy yesterday when my first article for the travel network Gogobot was featured on their blog: “Seven Great Spots for Affordable Glasses of Wine in San Francisco.” It was the result of intense um… research… for a much needed cause. I also became the SF Italian Culture Examiner recently, so I’ll be covering local cultural events as well.

Additionally, I’m a contestant in a G Adventures contest to travel and cover a part of the world. Please do me a huge favor by voting for me! It only takes a second and you won’t have to register or sign up for anything. You can even vote again the following day ;) This would be a dream for me, so I thank you in advance.

If you hear of any opportunities or freelance projects related to travel writing, please let me know!

Welcome to my new blog :)

Hi,

A few days ago, both my personal and band blogs were hit by malware and are thus not viewable until the overlords at Google deem them clean. I took this opportunity to move my blog into a unique domain.

You can see that it’s a little more personalized. I removed the original title, “inFESTIZIO,” on account that people were apparently mistaking it for my band name. I also included randomized photos from my life in the above banner, giving a view from my perspective of the world.

I’ll eventually get all my old posts back up when we clean out our other domain. Until then, you can find me on Twitter, and you can follow my band, Festizio, at our ReverbNation page (sign up for our mailing list to get a free copy of our upcoming album!).

Thanks again for everything,

Keane
