Updates 2021

It’s been one year since I last posted on this site, and what a year it’s been. Like many of you, I’ve been spending all my time at home. I’ve started and restarted several creative projects, attempted to learn a few new languages and continued working on my novel. And, yes, I even baked some bread.

I’ve since rewritten much of my novel, and I’m currently looking for a literary agent. If you know of an agent seeking literary historical fiction, please let me know! I’ve created a new page with details of my novel which you are free to peruse.

Music has always been a big part of my life. With so much time at home, I got back into songwriting with a new (somewhat experimental) music project called Kid Lydoskope. The goal is to combine modern sounds with common Americana themes. I have tracks available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram, SoundCloud and more. Subscribe if you like it!

Hope you’ve all been well. As always, you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for more timely updates and photos.

Finished My Novel & Best New Zealand Photos

Here’s a quick summary of what it’s about:

Progress of My Novel – A Resource for Writers & Storytellers

Progress of My Novel - A motivational and useful resource for writers and storytellers

In case you didn’t already know, I’m a writer. I write things. Right now, I’m working as a freelance travel writer and editor, but my real passion is storytelling.

I’m currently working on a novel set in San Francisco during the period between the 1906 earthquake and the start of World War I. I’ve always found this era fascinating, what with all the social and technological changes taking place.

In a hopefully worthwhile fit of distraction, I created a Tumblr page updating the progress of my novel while providing motivational and useful resources for other writers. Please follow me there if you’re on Tumblr, and I’ll follow you back!

(Also, the irony of cutting into writing time to create a blog dedicated to keeping me on track with writing isn’t lost on me.)
