It’s almost inevitable that cute cat photos wind their way into a post on any blog. When I was in Rome, I shared an apartment with a local resident and her cat, Pepe (“pepper” in Italian). Highly affectionate, he would follow me around all day, rushing ahead into rooms and waiting by doors as they opened. I took a number of photos and, before leaving, loaded them onto a flash drive as a present for my host. I think she appreciated them.
Anyway, I know how much the Internet loves photos of cats, so here is my contribution to the noise.
my favorite is the one where he is peeking up over the table.
That was probably the hardest one to take. His attention jumps all over the place!

Hehehe – it was one of the first things I learnt when I started teaching. All the kids want to write on the board, but almost the only thing they can ever think to write when I give them a board pen is ‘T.V.B. Teacher!’ When an 18 year old did it he was then at great pains to make clear the difference between ti voglio bene and ti amo … ;)
That is like the ultimate Italian lesson, I think. A girl I really liked taught me the difference, then concluded with TVB. Sigh.
Oh noooo. Ouch. That’s like the whole, ‘I love you, but I’m not IN love with you’ thing in English. I feel your pain. :-/
